About Me
I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) who is committed to working
with individuals, couples, and communities to improve mental health. I received my
Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Kennesaw State University, and my Master of
Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I am a national
certified counselor (NCC), and I am also certified in psychological first aid training. My
clinical experiences as a therapist involve working with children (ages 6+), adolescents,
and adults.
As part of my specialties and interests, I work with clients that are experiencing ADHD,
anxiety, depression, anger management, stress management, relational issues,
work/life balance, self-esteem issues, grief, and past traumas. I like to use integrative,
strength based, and collaborative approaches to work with each individual client’s
specific needs and therapy goals. I utilize a combination of treatment techniques such
as Solution focused therapy, Cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based
interventions, as well as other clinical frameworks. My philosophy is to empower
individuals and to promote self-care by assisting clients in developing emotional
intelligence, self-regulation, and healthy coping strategies in their healing journey.
